Patch Notes & Bug Fixes
[Change] Google Play Store images have been updated to include more up-to-date images of the game.
[Bugfix] Fixed a visual bug regarding the "Speed Up" Particle that is applied to your character during gameplay.
Since the game's release there has been a visual bug regarding the Speed Up Particle, in which both the normal and flipped gravity particles show up at the same time, instead of the intended way of only having one be visible depending on the player's gravity. This issue can be seen in all trailers and images of gameplay. This issue has now been fixed, and the particles finally show up as intended. (It was a real disappointingly easy fix that seemed to be overlooked).
[Bugfix] Fixed a visual issue regarding the Character: "Mr. Tube" having discolored pixels.
An issue regarding the character "Mr. Tube" had an issue with his texture regarding his jump animation. His hands were previously white when they were meant to be red to match his head. This has now been fixed, and Mr. Tube's jump animation now features the proper colors.
[Bugfix] Fixed an issue regarding the GRIMKITTY Productions Logo on the Main Menu on desktop devices.
An issue regarding the GRIMKITTY Productions logo on the bottom left of the main menu, in which if the player was on PC, the logo would be selected if the player hovered their mouse over it. This has now been fixed, and the GRIMKITTY Productions logo now needs to be properly clicked when playing the game on desktop.
[Bugfix] Heavily adjusted the code and Grounds in Gameplay to try and reduce lag.
All ground layouts have been slightly changed to reduce the amount of objects that are seen on screen. We assumed that the amount of Spikes in layouts may have been the cause of the lag.
The code was changed intensely to reduce the lag, as some code had been running per frame, when it was not necessary to. Unfortunately lag still may occur on some mobile devices, but it should be less than before, if the lag is too much, we will remove some additions we made to try and reduce it. We are working hard to find the solution and end the lag!
[Bugfix] Heavily adjusted all code in all menu's to help prevent lag.
Some code in all menu's ran per frame unnecessarily. This code, along with unnecessary code, has been changed and deleted to prevent lag throughout menu's.
[Bugfix] All back buttons now need to be "Clicked" instead of "Pressed."
This means the button action is activated once you let go of the mouse or tap from your screen, instead of the previous action of instantly pressing the button leading to the action. This was done to prevent any accidental exits from menu's and the game.
[Bugfix] Fixed an issue regarding Event Gameplay Music and Pausing.
An issue regarding the music in Event Gameplay occurred when you would pause the game and resume it, by not playing the song. This was because the code for the previous event was still in place, and the game would try and load the music from the previous event. This has now been fixed, and the music now plays properly when you resume the game after pausing.
[Bugfix] Fixed an issue regarding Device vibration upon death.
An issue regarding the device vibration was broken in gameplay, as it ran off of old code from before the change of gameplay code in Update 1.5. This has now been fixed, and the device vibration upon having the setting on, and being on mobile, now works properly.
[Bugfix] Fixed an issue regarding the "Speed Up" code in Event Gameplay.
An issue regarding the speed up mechanic in Event Gameplay not working. This was because the code was using old code from how characters were loaded in previous to Update 1.5, and did not work with the new code. This has now been fixed, and the speed up mechanic should properly work now.
