Patch Notes & Bug Fixes
[Change] Credits have been updated to properly credit the current version.
[Change] Your GRIMKITTY Meow Account login status appears above your coins on the Main Menu.
[Change] [IMPORTANT] Changed/Adjusted the tutorial intro.
Added the ability to skip the tutorial intro entirely at the beginning.
[IMPORTANT] Removed the Terms of Service. Not needed anymore, or really ever. Was only added cause we thought we needed it. If for whatever reason you'd like to see it still, you can view it here.
[Change] Changed how Usernames work for guest players.
New players are now provided a guest username upon starting the game. This can be overwritten with a username from a GRIMKITTY Meow Account.
This change only applies to newly joined players. If you have changed your username during 1.7 or before when submitting a score to Leaderboards, you will keep your old username.
You can no longer make a username in the leaderboard scene. In order to use a unique username, you'll need a GRIMKITTY Meow Account.
[Change] You can now see the name of the background and ground in the customization menu.
[Change] Settings are now properly organized.
[Change] [Settings] New Setting: Thud Volume.
Adjust the volume of the thud sound effect. (The noise that occurs when touching the ground).
[Change] [Settings] [PC] New Advanced Setting: Toggle Cursor lock.
This allows you to toggle whether you can freely move the mouse during gameplay or not.
[Change]
[Bugfix] Fixed a bug regarding Achievement Notifications not being centered to the top part of the screen.
[Bugfix] Fixed a bug that didn't save settings when entering the "How to Play" or "Credits" scene.
Settings only saved when exiting the settings menu back to the main menu. This has now been fixed, and entering a sub-menu such as the "How to Play," "Credits," or "GRIMKITTY Meow Account" menu will now save your settings.
Thank you all so much for playing Flip Out Rush! I hope you all can support the future of the game with a purchase of the full version! The price for the full version will be around $3.99! I figured that was a good price for the game, especially with how much is planned to come in the future! Such as Gamepad support, new game modes, and multiplayer! (All free updates! I don't plan to add paid DLC, just constant updates from time to time! Mostly free outside of in-game merch codes and very small things like that.) Meow Accounts were the big main goal of the game since launch, but now that's been completed, I think the next big milestone is a good decent multiplayer mode, both local and online! The next update, Update 1.9, will be the final update for Series 1 (This game's version of "Seasons"), after which, expect Flip Out Rush Update 2.0!
I also wanted to add one last thing, and that is that now that Meow Accounts have been added, the PC Demo is considered "Complete." There will be no more updates for it. This was the only one, so that Demo players could transfer their progress from the demo to the full version if they'd like. :)
I can't wait to show off and discuss more soon! I have a lot of exciting things planned that I cannot wait to talk about more! (ESPECIALLY for the Steam release, I'm super excited about that!) :)
If you find any bugs and would like to report them, head on over to our Official Discord.
